Linda is Community Horticulture Faculty in Oregon State University Extension Service in Yamhill County and an Associate Professor in OSU’s Department of Horticulture.  A botanist by training and a native-born Oregonian, she focuses on gardening practices that are appropriate for local needs and climates.  She regularly sends out ecogardening tips through Twitter and has developed a website featuring many aspects of ecological gardening.  Linda earned a Ph.D. in Botany from The University of Texas at Austin, and has held positions in government and private conservation groups in addition to her university experience.
