Daryl Hannah has been passionate and committed to practicing a low impact lifestyle for decades. From her small passive and active solar home complete with gray water systems and organic garden and animal rescue sanctuary, to being an early adaptor of sustainable bio-fuels, Daryl Hannah has been actively spreading the good news of how well it all works and how good it all feels.

She has produced, hosted and shot numerous environmental awareness/ health TV appearances including pieces for CNN International and Good Morning America. She relishes and has seized the opportunity on many occasions to speak to the unconvinced and conservative pundits.

Daryl Hannah has been a greening consultant for events such as the Virgin Music Festival, attended by over 150,000 people.

Her many speaking engagements include keynote speeches at the UN Climate Change Summit, UN Global Business Conference on the environment, every year at the National Biodiesel Board Conference, Natural and Organic Products Expo, LOHAS and numerous national and international universities and events.

She’s written articles on self-sufficiency and sustainability for many magazines including Jane, Marie Claire and Veg News and of course has done a plethora of interviews on the topic in thousands of publications, television, radio and web-based media.

Daryl Hannah designed dhlovelife.com (online since 2005) her website dedicated to sharing solutions on how to live more harmoniously with the planet and all other living things. The site features weekly five-minute inspirational video blogs that she produces and films. There are daily news updates, alerts, community and access to goods and services.

She is the founder of the Sustainable Biodiesel Alliance (SBA), which is a certification program for sustainably produced, harvested and distributed biofuels.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the Environmental Media Association (EMA), Sylvia Earle Alliance, Mission Blue, the Sustainable Biodiesel Alliance and the Action Sports Environmental Coalition, Eco America and has received numerous awards for her advocacy and activism. Daryl has twice been arrested for actions of conscience, first in an attempt to help save the South Central Farm and the other to try to usher in an end to Mountaintop Removal Strip Mining.

Daryl Hannah is a documentary and narrative filmmaker, which she has both directed, written and produced. Her short, The Last Supper, won a prize at the Berlin Film Festival among others and she is editing a documentary at the moment on human trafficking.

She has acted in over forty films since the age of 11. She’s writing a book, invented board games and toys, keeps bees, rescues stray animals, and loves music, hot springs, wild things and wilderness.
