Join us for Lauren's reading of her delightful tale Giggles the Green Bean Turns Stinkytown into Greentown. Lauren will sign copies of her book following her presentation in PGE Planet Kids in The Corner Bookstore at the show. Children will also receive Giggles green bean seeds and a coloring page after they listen to Giggles' adventures.
In Giggles the Green Bean Turns Stinkytown into Greentown, the cheerful and conscientious protagonist vows to return his polluted town to the lush paradise his grandmother recalls. He turns to a wise old cabbage to learn about conservation, promising to share his newly acquired knowledge with Stinkytown’s other residents. Taking a mind/body/soul approach to being green, later books in the Giggles the Green Bean series will teach topics such as healthy eating and staying physically active, in addition to environmental responsibility.

Lauren Davis became keenly aware that children needed to learn how to make a difference in keeping the environment clean and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Inspired by her brother's environmental activism, she penned her first children’s book in the Giggles the Green Bean series, "Giggles the Green Bean Turns Stinkytown into Greentown," which quickly became an Amazon Best Seller. In addition, the Earth Day Network, Director of Education endorsed her book stating, "Giggles the Green Bean is full of creative, lovable characters that will inspire kids to implement the practical every day ideas for a healthy environment into their own lives. Lauren Davis' book and Michael Vincent Fusco's charming illustrations weave an engaging story with important messages of environmental awareness for teachers and parents to enjoy with their kids." The second book in the Giggles the Green Bean series and a music CD will be available soon.
